The Myron Shelley Collection consists of the operational and fiscal records of the San Diego Hebrew Home for the Aged, dating from 1973 to 1995. It also includes some records from the North Shores B'nai B'rith Lodge (1963-1973), the Anti-Defamation League Council (1961-1978), the Community Relations Committee of the United Jewish Federation (1971-1976), the Temple Youth League of Temple Beth Israel (1947), and the Guardians of San Diego, the fundraising arm of the Hebrew Home for the Aged, or the Seacrest Village Retirement Communities (1975-1990.)

Biographical Note Myron Shelley served on the Board of Directors for the Hebrew Home for the Aged, as well as serving on its Campaign Committee for fundraising. The San Diego Hebrew Home for the Aged, whose records are the greatest part of this collection, is a beneficiary agency of the United Jewish Federation of San Diego County, and was founded to care for the elderly members of the Jewish communities of San Diego.
